Iranian Medical Report Confirms Mahsa Amini's Death Due To Organ Failure
An Iranian medical report into the death of Mahsa Amini said she did not die due to her injury in the head or beatings but from multiple organ failures caused by cerebral hypoxia. On October 7, the media said, a medical report published on state television was from Iran's Forensic Organisation. "Mahsa Amini's death was not caused by blows to the head and vital organs and limbs of the body."

SC To Examine Appeals Against Karnataka HC's Decision To Uphold Hijab Ban
The Karnataka High Court's decision to uphold the state's prohibition on the hijab at educational institutions was challenged in a number of petitions that the Supreme Court decided to examine next week. A bench made note of attorney Prashant Bhushan's claims that the cases had been filed in the past but hadn't yet been scheduled for the hearing. "The girls are losing out on studies," Bhushan claimed.

Violating HC Order On Hijab Leads To 'Anti-National Activities', Says Minister Shobha Karandlaje
Karnataka's union minister of state Shobha Karandlaje said that wearing of hijabs violating the order of High Court, should be dealt with strictly. She then stated that it could lead to "anti-national activities". The comment has come after 12 women from Mangalore University were denied entry citing the HC order. The High Court on March 15, held that hijab is not an essential religious practice.

Rahul Gandhi Visits Bangalore To Meet State Leaders: Karnataka
Amid Hijab row, restriction of non-Hindu traders inside temple premises and halal meet row in the state of Karnataka, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Bangalore. Gandhi, in his two-day visit, is scheduled to visit the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee office and organise meeting with the state leaders. He is also expected to discuss strategy ahead of the assembly polls in 2023.

SC Refuses Urgent Hearing Of Karnataka Hijab Row
The Apex Court refused to give a specific date for the 'Karnataka Hijab Row' petition, after petitioners demanded urgent hearing, on March 24. The SC bench led by CJI NV Ramana said not to sensationalise the matter, as the Hijab issue has nothing to do with exams. Notably, petitioners cited exams and requested for urgent hearing, as the school authority has banned hijab in the school premises.

Karnataka Hijab Row Plea To Be Reviewed After Holi: Supreme Court
Supreme Court confirmed to review Karnataka Hijab Row plea, challenging the HC verdict, after Holi vacations. Earlier, the HC had dismissed petitions against 'Hijab ban', upholding the decision. On March 16, the Apex Court accepted the plea against the verdict. Meanwhile, the BJP led Karnataka Government announced to reopen schools and colleges from March 17, with the imposition of section 144 till March 21.

Karnataka Hijab Row Verdict To Be Pronounced On March 15
The Karnataka HC is all set to pronounce its judgement on the controversial Hijab row issue, on March 15. The matter started in January, condemning the orders of Udupi Pre University, which banned entry with hijab or religious attire, besides uniform. The matter was taken to the HC, which is to announce the verdict. Until now, the court issued interim order, restricting students from wearing hijab until matter resolves.
