Himachal Pradesh Havoc Amid Rainfall Continues, 74 Dead, Property Worth 10,000 Crore Washed Away

Himachal Pradesh is facing the worst kind of natural disaster in decades, killing more than 72 people, and property damage worth Rs 10,000 crores. The heavy downpours and landslides in the regions of Himachal Pradesh in the past three days are expected to make it difficult for the rescue search, underway in Shimla. Furthermore, the IMD has issued a rainfall alert for the state on August 23-24, advising people to be cautious.

Uttarakhand Rainfall Havoc Kills 29 People, Death Toll To Rise After Search

At least 29 people have been killed and several others are feared trapped under the debris of a temple, which collapsed in Shimla after being hit by a landslide triggered by heavy rainfall on Monday. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his condolences over the deaths and said efforts are underway to rescue the people trapped under the debris of the collapsed temple in the Summer Hill area.

Himachal Pradesh: 6 Dead, 10 Injured In Flash Floods & Rainfall

Due to heavy rainfall and flash floods in Himachal Pradesh, six people died and as many as ten people were injured. On June 26, the Himachal Pradesh National Disaster Management confirmed the deceased people and said, "303 animals were also reportedly died."
