Dalai Lama's Security Dog Duka Sold For This Amount In Auction
Tibetian spiritual leader Dalai Lama's loyal dog was sold at $20 dollar. On February 11, the Labrador breed dog named Duka was with Dalai Lama for over a decade and ensured his security, finally retired from his duty and was sold after an auction, said the Himachal Pradesh Police. Now nine-months-old Tommy, purchased for Rs 3 lakhs, trained by the Punjab Police is the new security dog of Dalai Lama.

PM Narendra Modi Flags 4th Vande Bharat Trains In Himachal Pradesh
PM Narendra Modi flagged off the fourth Vande Bharat Express train in Himachal Pradesh’s Una district, on October 13. This marks the first Vande Bharat train for the state that is set to hold assembly elections soon in 2023. With the addition of this new Vande Bharat Express, the travel between Chandigarh-Delhi will be easier, with saving three hours of time, as it runs at 100 km/h in 52 seconds.

Over 8,000 Women Perform Folk Dance In International Kullu Dussehra Festival: Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu, around 8,000 women attired in traditional outfits took part in international Kullu Dussehra festival and performed folk dance at Rath Maidan on October 7. The festival is val commenced on October 5, and the cold dance marked day three of the festival. Notably, on day one, PM Modi, CM Jai Ram Thakur and Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar participated in the opening ceremony.

PM Modi Inaugurates AIIMS Bilaspur In Himachal Pradesh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the fully functional All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur, on October 5. The AIIMS -- whose foundational stone was also laid by the prime minister in October 2017 -- has been established under the Central sector scheme Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana. AIIMS Bilaspur, constructed at a cost of more than Rs 1,470 crore, is a state-of-the-art hospital.

7 Killed, 10 Injured In Tragic Accident In Kullu: Himachal Pradesh
In Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, a tragic accident was reported, which killed seven people, and left 10 seriously injured. The incident which occurred at 12:45 am, on September 26, was confirmed the Kullu Police, who launched a rescue operation and shifted the injured to the Kullu district hospital for treatment. ECI Holds Review Meeting With Political Parties Ahead Of Himachal Pradesh Assembly Elections
Review meeting were held by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to discuss the preparedness for the upcoming elections in Himachal Pradesh. PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Himachal Pradesh and address the youth at Mandi, ahead of the State Assembly elections. On September 9, HP CM Jairam Thakur confirmed PM Modi's visit and said, "I am happy that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited Himachal Pradesh 7 times." He added, "Now on the 24th of this month." Rail Car Derails On World Heritage Kalka-Shimla Route; All Passengers Unharmed
A rail car derailed on the World Heritage Kalka-Shimla route at about 11:00 a.m., resulting in the cancellation of two trains' rail services on August 28. A train car traveling from Kalka to Shimla derailed at Shimla between the Tara Devi and Shoghi railway sections. The rail vehicle had eight people, all of whom were declared safe. The cause of the train car disaster has yet to be determined.
