Police Complaint Filed Against Assam CM Himanta Sarma & Sadhguru For Night Jeep Safari At Kaziranga National Park
A police complaint has been filed against Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sadhguru for allegedly violating the wildlife protection laws. The complaint has come after the duo went on a night keep safari to the Kaziranga National Park. Sarma retaliated, stating that there is law that prohibits visiting a national park at night. The complainants claimed that visiting the park beyond the working hours, is a violation.

9 Arrested In Assam 'Fertilizer Scam'; CID Conducts Raids
CID, after conducting raids in Assam's Morigaon, Kamrup, Darrang, Cachar and Goalpara, arrested nine persons in connection to "fertilizer scam" in the state. The arrest has come following CM's order to probe into the procurement and distribution of urea in the state. Reportedly, the said fertilizer was sold at a higher cost than prescribed by the given. Also the retailers paused the supply of urea to create an unnatural scarcity.

Assam CM Confers Ratan Tata With State's Highest Civilian Award
Eminent Industrialist Ratan Tata has been conferred with 'Assam Bhaibav', the highest civilian award in Assam, by CM Himanta Biswa at a function held in Mumbai. The award has been given to acknowledge and thank the chairman of Tata Trust, for his exceptional contribution towards furthering cancer care in Assam, stated an official release. The award reportedly carries a citation, a medal and a cash amount of Rs 5 lakh.

Hindu Or Muslim; Lying To Women Is Jihad Says Assam CM
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on July 10 said that if a Hindu man lies to a Hindu woman, it is Jihad and considered against the law. ''The government will not tolerate any woman being cheated by anyone, whether Hindu or Muslim,'' said Sharma. He also said that most of us, including Christians and Muslims, are also the descendants of Hindus.
