Karnataka State Dharmik Parishat (KSDP), a government religious body, has decided to implement a dress code for devotees in over 200 temples in Dakshina Kannada. Following the cultural aspects, a local priest said, "We have urged devotees to follow dress code which respects Hindu cultural values. Saree is preferred for women...For men, we're deciding." However, the religious body will implement it after getting the government's approval.

Following the order of Pakistan's Supreme Court, the country's Punjab province police on August 7 arrested 20 people and booked over 150 persons for destroying a Hindu Temple. “We will make sure that no such incident happens. Besides, the restoration work of the temple has been underway in full speed,” said Punjab’s CM Usman Buzdar. The culprits have been booked under terrorism and other Pakistan Penal Code sections.

Sparking a major controversy, around 150 temples in Dehradun have put up banners that instruct non-Hindus from entering the premises. Put up by Hindu Yuva Vahini, the move came following an assault of a Muslim teenage boy for drinking water from Dasna Devi temple. Hearing the Hindu temple vandalisation case, the Pakistan Supreme Court has directed the authorities to restore the Shri Paramhansji Maharaj’s Samadhi and the Krishna Dwara Mandir.  The Court ordered the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province government to complete the restoration in two weeks. In the temple vandalisation case in Pakistan, the police have arrested 10 more people, taking the total arrest count to 55.
