HIPBAR, an alcohol purchase and delivery business located in Chennai, has been purchased by Cred. Flipkart Partners with HipBar For Alcohol Delivery
Flipkart has made an arrangement with Giageo-backed HipBar, an alcohol home delivery mobile app, to deliver alcohol in two states, according to sources. Reportedly, it will allow customers to order alcohol from the latter's mobile app. Amazon is also considering a similar strategy as Swiggy and Zomato have already been distributing liquor in some cities. Alcohol market in India is worth $27.2 billion, as per IWSR Drinks Market Analysis.
