UP Becomes First To Withdraw Cases Registered Under Epidemic Act

The Yogi govt has announced that all cases registered under the Epidemic Act for violation of pandemic guidelines in UP will be withdrawn. The decision was taken while keeping in view the larger public interest. He also instructed Home Department to start proceedings. Reportedly, UP is the first state to withdraw the registered cases. Earlier, the government had decided to withdraw cases filed against farmers for stubble burning.

Gujarat Police Officials To Wear Live Streaming Cameras On Uniforms

In a novel initiative, Gujarat Police's sub-inspector and superior-ranked officials will be equipped with body cameras. Initially starting with the traffic department, the cameras will be enabled for all policemen gradually with live streaming relayed to the control room.
