Hong Kong Suspends Air India's Flight Services for Two Weeks

On September 21, the Hong Kong government suspended Air India's flight services for two weeks till October 3. Reportedly, the suspension came after the airlines carried a COVID positive patient to the country. Air India officials said, that they will write to the Hong Kong Government to reconsider the decision. Earlier, Dubai Civil Aviation suspended Air India flights till October 2 and later revoked it for the same issue.

China Retaliates Against US, Imposes Fresh Restrictions on US Diplomats

China on September 11 issued fresh restrictions for the US diplomats working in mainland China and Hong Kong. However, the details of the restrictions have not been communicated yet. Reportedly, this has come as a response to the restrictions imposed by the US on Chinese diplomats in October 2019. The Chinese spokesperson mentioned that if the US "immediately corrects its mistake", China will also respond in the same manner.
