Baloch Human Rights Council Requests UN Intervention Over Human Rights Violation In Pakistan
Speaking at the Human Rights Council, Balochistan human rights group requested for UN intervention over human rights violations in Pakistan. The speaker said that the Balochs are being “dehumanised” in Pakistan, and that they are deprived of education, health and other social amenities. Police Open Fire At 'Peaceful' Protestors In PoK's Poonch: Pakistan
In the Poonch area of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), police opened fire at peaceful protestors, on July 21. Several protestors were injured, and the death toll has not been revealed. As per sources, at least 65 arrested have been made, and 30 people have been booked under anti-terror laws. The protest broke out to revolt against high inflation and denial of basic human rights by Pakistan authorities, reported ANI.
