Goa Professor Generates Own Electricity; Sells It To Government
Madhusudhan Joshi, a 58-year-old professor at the Goa College of Pharmacy not only uses hybrid solar energy systems at his house but also sells electricity to govt and earns Rs 350 annually. Overstating his service, Joshi said when the cyclon Tauktae hit the West coast he helped his neighbors by charging their phones for three days. The system cost around Rs 5,80,000.
