TSRTC Employees Won Medals At All India Masters Games 2023
TSRTC employees won medals at the fifth All-India Masters Games 2023, held at Gachibowli, in Hyderabad, Telangana. The event was held on February 15, where six employees won gold and silver medals. The employees who won medals and were selected for South Korea International trip are K Srinivas, M Anjali and K Kishan. VC Sajjanar, the MD of the TSRTC congratulated the employees for win.

Hyderabad Wins World Green City Award, Only Indian City To Win Title
Telangan's Capital, Hyderabad secured 'World Green City" title at the International Association of Horticulture Producers (AIPH) World Green City Awards 2022 held in Jeju, South Korea. As per sources, Hyderabad is the only Indian city to make it to the list of World's Green City and win the award. With this, Hyderabad beat cities like Paris, Mexico City, Montreal, Fortaleza and Bogota to be adjudged the grand winner.

KTR Suggests HMDA To Explore Ibrahimpatnam Lake Expansion As Tourist Spot
Telangana MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao suggested the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority to explore the options for development of the Ibrahimpatnam Lake, as tourist spot. The suggestion on October 14, was made after a Twitter user requested the minister to lookinto ways and make Ibrahimpatnam Lake as a weekend getaway spot. Notably, built by Ibrahum Qutb Shaha, during 1550-1580 AD, which is now likey to be a tourist spot soon.

Delhi Excise Policy Case: CBI Arrest Man For Alleged Lobbying
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made another arrest in the case of Delhi excise policy. A man has been arrested for allegedly lobbying for a South India-based businessman, on October 10. The accused, Abhishek Boinpally, a resident of Hyderabad, was arrested after he failed to cooperate with the central agency. The CBI stated that he will now be produced before a court.

Minor Girl Drugged & Gang Raped In Hyderabad, 2 Arrested
In Hyderabad, a 13-year-old minor girl was gang-raped after being drugged. Kidnapped from home on September 13, the girl was taken to a OYO Hotel, where she was gang-raped, following which on September 15, the two accused identified as Niyamat and Rishabh, left her at Chandarghat. The parents of the victim filed a complaint, following which the police launched an investigation and arrested the two accused.

Veteran Tollywood Actor, Ex-Minister UV Krishnam Raju Passes Away
Veteran actor in the Tollywood film industry and former union minister Uppalapati Venkata Krishnam Raju has passed away at the age of 82, in Telangana’s Hyderabad, on September 11. He was admitted to a private hospital following a brief illness, and passed away in the early hours of the day. Reportedly, he is survived by his wife Shyamala Devi and three daughters- Praseedi, Prakeerthi and Pradeepthi.

Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina Hopes Teesta Water-Sharing Issue Will Be Resolved Soon
Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina, while addressing Hyderabad house, expressed her willingness towards resolving the Teesta water-sharing issue soon. She then stated that India is Bangladesh’s most important and closest neighbour. The Teesta water-sharing issue can be traced back to 2011, when both the nations signed an agreement to share surface waters at the Farakka Barrage near their mutual border.

Security Tightened In Hyderabad’s Goshamahal Following T Raja Singh’s Arrest
Following the arrest of suspended BJP MLA T Raja Singh, security has been tightened in parts of the Goshamahal constituency. The move has been taken in view of a possible shutdown called by Raja Singh’s supporters to protest his arrest. The supporters in a press release, blamed the TRS government, and stated that controversial stand up comedian Munawar Farooqui should not have been granted permission to perform in Hyderabad.

Sonali Phogat Case: ‘All Drug Peddlers Involved Are From Goa’, Says Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand
In the ongoing investigation of BJP leader and actor Sonali Phogat’s death case, Hyderabad police informed that all the drug peddlers involved were from Goa, although the main accused has not been arrested yet. Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand stated that of the two drug peddlers that were suspects to the case, one was arrested. He further stated that the Goa police did not cooperate with them.
