ICC Announces Changes In Law Of Cricket, In Effect From Oct 1
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced a few changes in playing manner, on September 20. In its release, ICC mentioned using saliva to polish ball during game is prohibited, incoming batter to face the ball, striker's right to play, unfair fielding by the movement side and many other playing conditions under the laws of cricket. The changes which will come into effect from October 1, were made by the cricket committee.

ICC Announces First Future Tours Programme For Indian Women's Cricket Team
Aiming enhancement of the Indian Women's Championship, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the first-ever women's Future Tours Programme (FTP.) On August 16, the released FTP, which confirms the international cricket calendar for 10 teams over the next three years, playing all three ODIs, T20I and Test match formats. Notably, over 300 matches will be played as part of the 2022-25 FTP, saying it's a watershed moment for IWC.

India Moves To 3rd Place In ICC ODI Team Rankings Following Victory Against England
After a convincing 10-wicket win over England in the first game of the ongoing ODI series, India has surpassed Pakistan in the new ICC ODI Team Rankings. They were ranked fourth with 105 rating points prior to the match against England, and have risen to third with 108 rating points, trailing Pakistan with 106. New Zealand leads the standings with 126 rating points, while England is second with 122.

ICC Chief Calls Ukraine 'Crime Scene' After Visiting Bucha Town
Chief Prosecutor of International Criminal Court (ICC) Karim Khan, after visiting Bucha Town ok Ukraine, called it a "crime scene", on April 13. Ukraine blamed the Russian forces for alleged killing of civilians in Bucha Town. Khan said that ICC's forensic team has started operations in the area, to different "fact from fiction". He further stated that what is required is "independent, impartial investigation".

Indian Women's Team Beat Pakistan by 107 Runs
The women's Indian cricket team went off a good start to the ICC Women's World Cup. The team beat Pakistan by 107 runs, after it won the toss. Smriti Mandhana, Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar opted to bat first with making half-centuries to recover the post 244 for seven at the Bay Oval. With the bowling strategy of Indian team, it defended the 245 target-run of Pakistan, winning today's match.

Prize Money For ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 Doubled
The prize money for the winner of the 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will amount to $1.32 million, on February 16. The overall money has seen a rise by 75 % with all the eight teams taking home a share of $3.5 million, which is $1.5 million more than the previous edition. The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup will take place from March 4, in New Zealand.

India's Shafali Verma Regains No.1 Spot In ICC Rankings
Indian Cricketer Shafali Verma (17) regained the No.1 spot in the International Cricket Council T20I Batting Rankings for Women on January 25, after replacing Australia's Beth Mooney, while India's Smriti Mandana slipped to No.4. Both Shafali and Smriti will appear in New Zealand in the upcoming series on February. Shafali Verma appeared last time in T20I cricket in October 2021, when she was in great form in the Big-Bash League.

India's Smriti Mandhana Named ICC Women's Cricketer Of The Year
Indian cricketer and opener Smriti Mandhana has been named as the ICC Women's Cricketer of the year for her outstanding performance across all formats in 2021. In a statement, ICC said that Mandhana was short-listed for the top award, The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy along with few other players. Mandhana played a vital role when India won two of the eight matches in the limited-overs series against South Africa.
