In Jammu and Kashmir's Bandipora region, the security forces launched a search operation and found Improvised Explosive Devices (IED.) The search was launched after the BSF shot down a drone in the Gurdaspur region. In regard to the findings of IED, the Jammu and Kashmir security officials halted vehicular movement on the Bandipora-Sapore road, as a precautionary measure. In a grenade blast in J&K’s Srinagar, several civilians have been injured on August 22. Reportedly, the incident occurred at Nishat area when the bomb was hurled, causing a low intensity blast. Reportedly, the injured are being treated, and a search to nab the accused are underway. Meanwhile, IEDs weighing 10-12 kgs have been recovered from Pulwama district, evading a major blast.
Around 25-30 kgs of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) has been received by Jammu and Kashmir police near the Tahab crossing on circular road in Pulwama. This has come days before India's 75th Independence Day. Further details on the matter is awaited. In Harayana,Special Task Force (STF) officials identified and recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on August 4. Reportedly, the IED was found on the Shahabad-Ambala highway, as it was placed in a polythene bag under a tree. The STD officials arrested one accused from Tarn Taran, and sent him to the custody of Shahabad police. Further details on the matter is awaited.
In Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian, three soldiers have been injured in a blast, on June 2. Reportedly, the blast took place in a private vehicle, and is suspected to have been caused due to a grenade or an IED, tweeted Kashmir zone police. However, the exact source for the blast is yet to be ascertained. The injured have been admitted to a hospital for treatment.
In Manipur's Khongjom, one person was killed in an IED explosion inside a community hall at Sapam Mayai Lekai, on May 30. The blast also left five other injured, who were then shifted to Thoubal Hospital for treatment. According to the police, the place has been cordoned for forensic inspection. Meanwhile, a case has been registered, and further details on the matter is awaited.
In Jammu's Sidhra area, an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) which was planted along the highway, was identified and defused, on April 28. After identifying the object on the road, the area was cordoned off, and bomb squad destroyed the IED through controlled mechanism. Notably, the IED has been recovered days after two Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists from Pakistan were killed by security forces.

The Security Forces on April 16, recovered a suspicious object from alongside the road, which turned out to be an "Improvised Explosive Device", on April 16. The object was spotted on Rajouri Road, Jammu and Kashmir. Security Forces then transported the object to a safer place and destroyed it. The IED has been recovered a day after independent Sarpanch Manzoor Ahmad Bangroo was allegedly killed by terrorists.

Security Forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district averted a great tragedy by identifying and destroying five kilos of Improvised Explosives Device (IED), on December 23. Reportedly, the search operation jointly conducted by police, 50 RR and 183 BN CRPF officials, identified the explosives which was planted along the roadside in Wanpora. A drone carrying a 5kg Improvised Explosive Device (IED) material across the border was shot down by the Jammu and Kashmir police on July 23. A Quick Reaction Team (QRT) was placed into the action after the drone was observed on the night of July 22 over the border belt of Kanachak along the International Border. Officials claim that the drone was moving towards the Indian border.
