Justice DK Singh Pays Fees Of SC Student: Lucknow

Justice DK Singh from Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court paid the fees of an underprivileged student, Sanskriti Ranjan. The Judge donated Rs 15,000 for her admission at the IIT-BHU. The bench further asked the institute to make availabilities for her seat under the 'SC' category. Reportedly, she cleared the JEE-Advanced and scored 92.77 percentage. Also, she ranked at 2062.

Jaipur's Mridul Agarwal Tops JEE Advanced and IIT-JEE, 2021

Joint Entrance Examination, (JEE) Advanced, 2021 results with toppers list have been declared on October 15. Mridul Agarwal from Jaipur has become the topper in the competitive examination. However, he not only topped the ranking but also scored the highest ever in the IIT-JEE entrance test. He scored 348 out of 360, with 96.66% marks. Reportedly, he broke the highest score of 96, which was set in 2012.

Eight IITs Across Nation Run Without Chairman: Education Minister

Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education, India stated that there are eight IITs without a Chairman. In addition, he also mentioned there are five among these eight IITs which are functioning without a Director, despite the Lok Sabha being aware of the scenario. While addressing this, Pradhan also detailed a survey where STEM enrollment numbers were shared, that included 53,52,258 men and 40,70,533 women.

Goa CM Pramod Sawant Withdraws IIT Campus Proposal At Shel-Melauli

Bowing to public opposition, Goa CM Pramod Sawant on January 15  withdrew the proposal to construct the Indian Institute of Technology's (IIT) Goa campus at the Shel-Melauli village. Reportedly, the government will be establishing the IIT Campus at another location. Besides, the CM clarified the move was not an election stunt. Earlier, Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane had written to the CM requesting a revocation of the proposal.
