BMC Razed Illegal Construction Of Studios In Maharashtra
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) undertook a demolition drive against the 'illegally built' film studios in the Madh-Marve area in Malad. The demolition started after the decision of the National Green Tribunal, which asked for demolition of the illegal construction. Of the total 11, five studios will be demolished, confirmed the BMC officials. Notably unlawful buildings worth Rs 1,000 crores were constructed.

Illegal Encroachments At Noida's Grand Omaxe Society Demolished
The Noida authority has bulldozed over 100 illegal encroachments at Noida Sector 93 B's Grand Omaxe society. The action was initiated after the residents of the society filed a police complaint against former BJP member Shrikant Tyagi's wife Anu Tyagi, who insisted to plant palm trees, violating the rules and regulation of society. The matter escalated with the arrest of Tyagi in abusing women case.

Forensic Team Confirms All Evidence To Be Safe: Ankita Bhandari Murder Case
In the Uttarakhand teen murder case, the forensic team confirmed to have all evidence in the Ankita Bhandari murder case. "All evidence found there being used in forensic investigation is safe; further probe underway," said the team, on September 26. Notably, after the murder incident, the Vanatara resort, owned by BJP Leader's son Pulkit Arya, was demolished on September 24, amid illegal construction.

3,700 Kg Explosives Installed To Destroy Noida’s 40-Storey Twin Towers
In Uttar Pradesh’s Noida, over 3,700 kg of explosives have been installed to destroy Supertech’s 40-storey twin towers. The explosives have been installed on every floor of the building, which will all be connected to wires. The layout and wiring is expected to be completed in two to three days. The demolition is expected to be concluded within nine seconds once it commences on August 28, at around 2:30 pm.

BJP MLA Nitish Rane 'Blames' Shiv Sena For Illegal Constructions In Mumbai
In Maharashtra's Mumbai, BJP MLA Nitish Rane blamed the Shiv Sena government for the illegal construction in the city. Reportedly, he also wrote a letter to CM Uddhav Thackeray, requesting him to take action. He alleged that the Shiv Sena party workers are responsible for some of the illegal constructions across the city. "Your corporators are giving permission to such illegal constructions," said Rane.

Cycle Track Construction Is Illegal, Says Bombay HC To BMC
The Bombay High Court (HC) directed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to remove the cycle track and jogging track in the Powai area of Mumbai. On May 6, the HC called the construction illegal and asked to restore reclaimed land to its original site. The decision was a major setback for the BMC, as the construction of the cycling and jogging tracks were already started.

BMC Issues Notice To Hanuman Chalisa Row MLA Couple
In another set back for the "Hanuman Chalisa" row MLA couple Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a notice over "illegal construction" at their residence in Mumbai's Khar. As per the notice, issued under the Mumbai Corporation Act 1888, Section 488, the BMC officials have the rights to visit the constriction and undertake any decision.
