Special NIA Court Convicts 6th Accused In Bengaluru Fake Currency Scam
A special NIA court has convicted a woman in the Bengaluru fake currency case involving smuggling of huge quantities of high-quality counterfeit banknotes from Bangladesh into India via Karnataka. Vanitha alias 'Thangam' is the sixth accused to be convicted in the case. She was sentenced to six years of imprisonment under Section 489B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), five years of imprisonment under Section 489C.

Security Personal Arrested Chinese National For Entering India Illegally
Security personnel arrested two Chinese nationals who tried to enter India through the Indo-Nepal border from Raxaul in Bihar’s East Champaran district. East Champaran SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra confirmed said the Chinese nationals, identified as Zhao Jing and FU Cong, residents of Jiangxi, a province in the east of China, were arrested near the Indian customs office at Raxaul town, while trying to cross the border illegally.

Seema Haider Says, "Would Rather Be In India Jail But Don't Want To Go Pakistan
Seema Haider, a Pakistani native who crossed the border and arrived in India for love, was grilled by ATS. After being grilled by the officials, Seema Haide, who lives with Sachin in Gurgaon, said she doesn't wish to go back to Pakistan and wants to stay in India, even if it means being jailed. When asked about being ISI Agent, she said, her only crime is to enter India, illegally.

Chinese Fraudster Eyes Indian Data Through Porns, Betting Sites
Approximately 2,000 website domain has been bought by suspected Chinese actors and misused for hosting pornographic content, betting, and malicious app (iOS and Android). On June 22, the National Cybercrime Threat Analytics Unit revealed that in just four days, 2,000 website domains has been purchased, illegally, with an aim to eye the data of India. This is a possible case of financial and identity theft by Chinese suspectors.

NRI Police Arrested Man Carrying Gutkha Worth Rs 50,000
The NRI police have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly selling banned Gutkha worth Rs 50,000 in a scooter in Ulwe. The police seized both Gutkha and the scooter. The arrested accused was identified as Shivshankar Sharma and he was carrying Gutkha in his scooter for retail supply in the Ulwe node. A case has been registered and investigation underway.

United States Issues Fresh Sanction For Companies Providing Iranian Petrochemicals

Jharkhand Police Seizes 34 Gm Brown Sugar, Arrested 1
In Jharkhand's Deoghar district, brown sugar worth lakhs of rupees was seized from a possession, confirmed police on August 18. The arrest was made on a tip-off, following which the police nabbed the accused, identified as Lalo Miyan, near Kuraiwa forest in Mohanpur Police Station area. They seized 34 gm of brown sugar from his possession. Furthermore, the Deoghar SDPO Pawan Kumar said, the accused was a wanted criminal.

Sri Lankan Navy Detains 51 People Attempting To Illegally Migrate To Australia
Sri Lankan Navy apprehended 51 individuals on July 3 who were trying to illegally migrate from Sri Lanka to Australia by sea. Due to the country's ongoing economic crisis, this was the fourth such instance in the previous week. On July 2, a team comprising the Navy, Sri Lanka Coast Guard, and police apprehended 24 people near Marawila on the western coast, all of them accused of illegally migrating to Australia.

SC Questions Demolition In UP, Asks Govt To Stop Process & File Reply
Supreme Court reviewed a petition filed against the demolition in Uttar Pradesh, and said, no demolition should be carried out by the Yogi Adityanath-led Government. On June 16, SC bench AS Bopanna and Vikram Nath asked the State Government to file a counter reply, explaining how the demolition process is being carried out as per municipal law and order, within next three days.
