Govt Reschedules Pulse Polio Programme To January 31
The government has announced the National Polio Immunisation programme will commence from January 31. Earlier scheduled to begin from January 17, the Pulse Polio Immunisation Programme was rescheduled due to roll-out of mass COIVD-19 vaccination drive from January 16. India Selects 4 States For Dry Run Of COVID Vaccination; Punjab First
The Indian government has selected four states - Punjab, Andhra, Assam and Gujarat - to begin the dry run of its vaccination drive against COVID-19. With this, the government want to identify loopholes and challenges that can be addressed before the roll out of the mass vaccination program. The dry run will start on December 28 from Punjab's Ludhiana and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar districts.
