Rahul Gandhi, the former MP Of Wayanad turned 53 years old, on June 19. Indian National Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Congress leaders and other political leaders extended birthday wishes to the former INC President. Congress shared a tweet, "To his unflinching faith in love, a love which is willing to forgive, to trust, to hope, and to embrace differences. To our own 'mohabbat ki dukaan."

Rahul Gandhi defamation Case is being a matter of controversy, leading to massive protest. The Indian National Congress decided to hold a large protest against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Surat Court, which pronounced Rahul Gandhi guilty and announced two years imprisonment. Over 10,000 Cows Released On Roads To Protest Against Govt In Gujarat; Traffic Comes To Halt
Over 200 cow shelter homes have released more than 10,000 cows on to the roads to protest against the state government of Gujarat. The protestors stated that BJP promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 500 crore to the shelter homes, but “didn’t give a single penny”. With this, road traffic in north Gujarat highways came to a halt. A protestor stated that the protests started over 15 days ago.

Telangana Congress Leader Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy Quits Party, Will Join BJP
Congress MLA from Telangana Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy submitted his resignation as MLA and Party membership on August 8. He gave the letter to Telangana Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and announced to join the opposition BJP. Congress Haryana MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi Resigns, Likely To Join BJP
Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi submitted his resignation to Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Gupta, on August 3. He resigned from the Haryana Assembly and is now expected to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party. In his resignation Bishnoi said that Congress is "no longer" what it was during Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi's time. Congress has deviated from its ideology. Sonia Gandhi Admitted To ICU Due To Covid-19 Related Issues: Delhi
The Congress party officials confirmed that Party President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to ICU, at Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi. On June 12, she was taken due to COVID-related issues and is said to be under stable condition. Randeep Surjewala, the INC Spokesperson said, "She is stable and will be kept at the hospital for observation". Recently, Gandhi was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was under home isolation.
