Aluminium, Steel, Cement Industries Call For Coal Shortage, Coal Ministry Denies

Large aluminum, steel, cement companies have claimed that a shortage of coal has occurred. However, Coal India Limited and the coal ministry rejected the claims. Earlier in 2022, the Aluminium Association of India along with 8 more industries wrote a letter to centre, requesting a justified ratio of coal allocation between the power sector and industries. Coal imports plunged to a nine-year low in 2021 due to global price hike.

BJP Earns 50% More In FY20 Compared To FY19

According to the Election Commission of India, the annual audit report of BJP shows its income increases to Rs 3,623 crore in 2019-20 from 2,410 in 2018-19 while it spends Rs 1,651 than Rs 1,005 in FY19. However, Congress's income declined to Rs 682 from 998 core. Other national and regional parties earned below Rs 200 crore. Notably, BJP spent Rs 296.38 crore on media publicity in 2019-20.

COVID-19 Blues: 77% Indian Adults Lose Income Due To Pandemic

The pandemic has resulted in 77% of Indian adults losing their income, revealed a recent report by Lotto247.com. The survey also indicated that the income of over 80% adults in their 40s was affected. While 73% of adults in their 50s also received less incomes, the ones above 70 years were least affected.
