Assam Govt Revises Curfew Timing In State: New COVID-19 Guidelines

In the latest guideline of COVID-19, Assam Government on October 26 relaxed the curfew timings by one hour, which would be effective from 11 PM to 5 PM. Commercial establishments, cinema halls, and restaurants will be working with 50% capacity and can remain open till 10 PM. Marriage and religious functions can be attended by 50% of People. Moreover, delivery of essential commodities is allowed for 24 hours.

Former Sashastra Seema Bal Chief Arun Chaudhary Passes Away At 66

Former chief of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Arun Chaudhary, has passed away at 66 due to COVID-19 on April 26. The SSB mourned his death and stated, “His contribution to the nation and SSB cannot be forgotten". Chaudhary was a 1977-batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre who had worked in the Intelligence Bureau for two decades before serving as the director general of the SSB in 2012.

Ex-CM Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah Tests Covid-19 Positive

Two days after the National Conference President Farooq Abdullah was discharged from the hospital after the Covid-19 treatment, his son, Omar Abdullah has been tested Covid-19 positive on April 9. The former J&K Chief Minister took to Twitter to share that he is asymptotic and is self-isolating and monitoring his oxygen saturation levels as per his doctor's advice.

India Tests More than 9 Lakh COVID-19 Samples for Two Consecutive Days
