India-England Test Series

India takes a 1-0 lead on the five-match test series at Lord's cricket ground against England. The historic win was recorded after the magnificent performance by India bowlers who managed to bowl England out at just 151 runs. The Indian bowlers also shined at the batting, adding 89 runs in the last two wickets, setting a 272 runs target. Indian pace bowlers Mohammad Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah took seven wickets combined. 

According to sources, Star Indian Wicket-Keeper Batsman Rishabh Pant has been tested positive for Covid-19 in England. Pant is asymptomatic and has been isolated from the other players and will be denied traveling with the Indian team for a warm-up game at Durham. He was spotted at Euro Cup 2020 semi-finals. India is set to play a five-match test series versus England on July 20.

The International Cricket Council has approved the Motera stadium pitch giving it an 'average' rating. Reportedly, the pitch drew controversy after the recently concluded India-England pink-ball test that was completed in two days. The Indian cricket team has qualified for the ICC World Test Championship finals with its victory over England in the fourth Test on March 6. India will now compete with New Zealand in the finals slated from June 18-22 at Lord’s. Rishabh Pant was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 101-run knock that helped India to defeat the visitors by an innings and 25 runs.
