Byju's Founder Raveendran Is Out Of Hurun Rich List 2023

Byju Raveendran, the founder of edtech startup Byju's, has been left off the latest Hurun India rich list, amid valuation markdowns faced by the company. Notably,  Reliance Industries' Mukesh Ambani has reclaimed the title of the richest Indian, surpassing Gautam Adani, confirmed Hurun's list. The list, with exit of Byju's, came days after it was reported that online higher education platform Great Learning is looking to to buy Byju's.

RBI Monetary Policy: Shaktikanta Das Announces 6.50%, Press Conference Underway

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) governor Shaktikanta Das will on Friday unveil decisions taken at the central bank's latest 3-day Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting. At the previous meeting, in August, the MPC decided to retain the policy repo rate at 6.50%. The standing deposit facility rate is 6.25%, the Marginal standing facility rate: is 6.75%, the Bank rate: is 6.75%, and the fixed reverse repo rate: is 3.35%.

Income Tax Department Raids Premises Of Kalpataru Builders

The Income Tax Department on Friday conducted raids on premises linked to the Mumbai-based Kalpataru builders over alleged tax evasion. The raids were conducted on around 30 premises across four states. Significantly, the residences of Kalptaru group founder Mofatraj Munot and MD Parag Munot were also raided by the tax department. File ITR By July 31 As There's No Extension By IT Department

The Income Tax Department asked all taxpayers to file their income tax returns (ITR) before July 31. With the Centre making it clear that it is not contemplating extending the deadline further. "Remember to e-verify after filing”, tweeted the IT Department. However, filing an income tax return is just half the work done, and you need to e-verify your ITR within 30 days of filing.

HDFC Shares Increase By 3% With High Profit

Shares of housing finance major HDFC on May 4, climbed nearly 3 per cent after the firm reported a 20 per cent growth in standalone net profit for the March quarter. The stock advanced 2.64 per cent to finish at Rs 2,862.35 apiece on the BSE. During the day, it jumped 2.80 per cent to its 52-week high of Rs 2,867, confirmed the bank in a notification.
