Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya is likely to miss matches at the ICC World Cup 2023 against Sri Lanka and South Africa as the 30-year-old continues to recover from an ankle injury he suffered against Bangladesh in Pune on October 19, reported ESPN Cricinfo on Wednesday. Since then, Pandya missed India’s matches against New Zealand and England. Pandya's replacement is said to be all-rounder Mohammad Shami.

Big drawback to the Indian Cricket Team, as Shubhman Gill is down with fever, likely to be dengue. According to sources, the BCCI is likely to make a decision about his participation in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 opening game. "Shubhman has had a high fever since landing in Chennai. His tests are being done. He will have tests on Friday and a call will be taken," said BCCI.

Pakistani Cricket team will be getting a visa for entering India and playing the One Day International (ODI) match. According to sources, India will be hosting the ICC World Cup 2023, scheduled in October-November. However, it is yet unclear if the green team will be travelling to India, and play the fifty over game, after earlier India refused to travel to Pakistan and play Asian tournament.

The Indian Cricket team celebrated their victory against Zimbabwe, by dancing to the tunes of Katrina Kaif's "Kaala Chashma" song. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan and Shubham Gill shared a reel on Instagram in which they were enjoying their victory and expressed their happiness. Notably, the KL Rahul-led Indian cricket team defeated Zimbabwe by 13 runs at the third ODI, completing a 3-0 series sweep.

IUnder-19 player Vicky Ostwal became a fame-name after his performance in India’s historic triumph in the Caribbean Tournament. He was the highest wicket-taker for India, scalping a total of 12 wickets in 6 games. Ostwal who is in U-19 Indian Cricket squad said, “That was more than just a dream for me. I’ve always wished of playing for India but have never thought I’d end up as the highest wicket-taker."
