Former BCCI President and Indian Cricket Captain Sourav Ganguly commented on the removal of KL Rahul as Vice Captain, after his poor performance in India V/S Australia. Chetan Sharma, the chairman of Selectors for India Men's Senior team, submitted his resignation from the post. After Pakistan cricketer, Indian sportsman Abdul Razzaq also replied to the Asia Cup 2023 controversy and shared his opinion. He said, " If Asia Cup has been shifted to Dubai, then it's the best option. It's good for cricket and cricketers." Notably, the controversy is still going on, regarding the venue of Asia Cup, as the BCCI said the Indian Cricket team is skeptical about going to Pakistan.

Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh, who is Punjab Cricket Association's chief advisor, has alleged that "illegal activities" are being carried out by certain office-bearers in the state body. On October 7, Harbhajan, though, didn't mention the name of the office-bearers in his letter, which was sent to PCA members and district units of the body. Furthermore, the former Indian skipper also informed the same to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

West Indies and India would soon begin a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad, from July 22.
