Cricketer Rishab Pant who met with a tragic accident is back on his feet after 40 days.  He shared an image of himself, walking slowly with the help of crutches. He captioned the picture, "One step forward. One step stronger. One step better,"  In December, Pant sustained multiple injuries after his car hit the divider and caught fire near Uttarakhand. He is on his way to recovery.

Indian pacer Joginder Sharma, the hero of India's 2007 T20 World Cup win, announced his retirement on February 3. An important meeting of the BCCI is scheduled on October 10, in Mumbai, Maharashtra.  Ahead of the organisation's Annual General Meeting (AGM) the BCCI officials and the board's AGM will take place on October 18 in Mumbai.  As per sources, all the office bearers of BCCI are leaving for Mumbai tonight for meeting, where major key decisions on office-bearers and posts will be taken. India pacer Mohammed Shami tested positive for COVID-19, confirmed through Twitter, on September 18. The news of Shami being Covid-19 positive, ahead of the T20I series against Australia, starting on September 20. While Shami tested positive for Covid-19, Umesh Yadav, who was supposed to undergo rehab for a quad injury in Bengaluru. Moreover, the two players were brought into the squad to play first T20I in almost two years.

Indian cricketer and former Indian Captain Virat Kohli reportedly purchased a large portion of the Juhu bungalow 'Gouri Kunj', once owned by legendary late singer Kishore Kumar. The cricketer is to open a restaurant under his 'One8' brand, which is signed under a five-year lease.  The restaurant work is said to be under construction and will soon be ready for opening in Juhu, Mumbai.
