In a shocking incident amid tomato pricing, a farmer was brutally strangled to death in Andhra Pradesh. This is the second such incident reported in the Annamaya district of the Telugu State, due to tomatoes. Madhukar Reddy, a farmer was strangled to death by miscreants while he was sleeping at his farm to guard the crops near Pedda Tippa Samudra in Annamaya district. Earlier, another tomato farmer was killed.

The IIT-Kharagpur student Faizan Ahmed's death is still under investigation. Although the college authority claimed the death was due to suicide, his 2nd autopsy report suggested 'Homicide Injuries' on his body, before his death. The IIT-Kharagpur student died in October 2022, allegedly by suicide. However, Faizan's parents denied claims of suicide and filed a petition saying it was murder which killed their son. An undertrial prisoner lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail was injured after he was allegedly attacked by other inmates with an improvised knife, a handmade tool, and a tile. According to jail officials, the incident took around 12:38 pm inside Central Jail no 1 at the Tihar prison complex. This is not the first time, a prisoner has been hurt in judicial custody. Moreover, a case has been registered.
