In good news for the residents living in New York, the authorities declared Diwali as a school holiday. The decision was taken considering more than 2 lakh residents of New York, who celebrate Diwali. "This is a city that’s continuously changing, continuously welcoming communities from all over the world," said Eric Adam, the Mayor of New York, USA.  Furthermore, in 2023, Diwali will be celebrated on November 14.

PM Narendra Modi bled Yoga Celebration at UNHQ, on June 21.  He said India has always nurtured traditions that unite, adopt and embrace, and made a fervent appeal to eliminate contradictions, hurdles and resistances through yoga. In a video message on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, Modi said Indians have welcomed new ideas, conserved them and celebrated the country's rich diversity.

US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo, who is in India on an official visit, arrived at Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's residence on Wednesday and participated in the Holi celebration, on March 8. Expressing happiness to be a part of Holi celebration, Raimondo said, "Raimondo expressed happiness for joining people in the Holi celebration and said, "It's an honour for me to be here on such a holiday."

Indian historical site Ajanta Caves is set to be digitized and restored for eternity in a program initiated by a team of members from the Arctic World Archive (AWA).  The event of preserving the deposits was held at Svalbard, Norway. AWA has received messages from several Indian political leaders, bureaucrats, and industrialists in support of the step. The initiative is intended to preserve the ancient art for the upcoming generations.
