Telangana Intermediate Admissions For 2023 To Begin May 15

The Telangana Intermediate Board announced admission for the intermediate 2023 session, from May 15. As per sources, the process of admissions into various intermediate colleges will begin on May 15 while the classes are scheduled to commence on June 1. The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) on Friday notified that admissions are to be completed by June 30. Interested candidate can apply.

QR Code Mechanism For Books Distribution In UP

The Uttar Pradesh government will now track and trace the distribution of over 12 crore textbooks at the beginning of the 2023-24 academic session. The online tracking system will be based on QR (Quick Read) code technology and seeks to distribute 16 crore books to 1.8 crore students from classes 1 to 8, each year. The online QR code mechanism has been prepared in collaboration with a private IT-firm.

Pondicherry Schools Will Remain Close Amid H3N2 Cases Rise

Amid rising H3N2 cases, all schools for classes 1 to 8 in Puducherry will remain closed for 10 days starting tomorrow. In a circular, "All schools in Puducherry to remain closed from 16th to 26th March in wake of the spread of H3N2", Puducherry Education minister A Namassivayam told reporters.  The decision was taken following reports of children falling sick owing to the H3N2 subtype of seasonal influenza.

DU Announces 2 Seats For Orphans In UG, PG From Next Academic Year

The Delhi University announced to offer of two seats each under supernumerary quota to orphans in all undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from the next academic year.  In addition, the DU Administration also announced that such students will also be exempted from payment of any kind of fees, after a varsity's Executive council meeting held on February 3. The Welfare Board of College will bear the expense.
