Kiren Rijiju Shares View On 'Same-Sex Marriage Issue
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju gave his statement on the recent same-sex marriage controversial issue. On March 18, addressing the media, Kiren Rijiju said, " same-sex marriage is a matter that should be left to the wisdom of the people of the country." He said, "The Supreme Court has its own authority. We are not supposed to encroach on its territory," Notably, the SC is reviewing the matter.

PM Modi Announces Ex Gratia Of Rs 2 Lakh To Victims Of Chandausi, Secunderabad Incident
PM Narendra Modi announced ex gratia to the victims of Chandausi and Secunderabad incident. On March 18, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) announced to give Rs 2 lakh to those who lost their kin in the Secunderabad fire incident, whereas Rs 50,000 was announced for injured. The amount will be given under the PM Cares Fund. In addition, the PM of India also directed to provide medical treatment to injured.

Retail Inflation Eases Marginally To 6.44%
India’s retail inflation eased marginally to 6.44% in February after three-month high of 6.52% in January. The new inflation will burn pockets of consumer as prices continued to be above the Reserve Bank of India’s so-called tolerable limit of 6% for two straight months. On March 13, the RBI released the data, which said the food and beverages inflation index stood at 6.26% during the month against 6.19% in January.

Money Laundering Laws Applies To Crypto Trading: GoI
In a setback to Indian bitcoin traders, India’s money laundering laws will now apply to trade in cryptocurrencies, said the federal government. In a notification dated March 7, the Government of India said, "The exchange between virtual digital assets and fiat currencies, the exchange between one or more forms of virtual digital assets and the transfer of digital assets will be covered under money laundering laws."

Power Grid Holds Meeting And Approves Investment For Projects
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited informed about approved investment for several projects. The decision was taken by the board of Directors of the company in their meeting held on March 6. The Power Grid approved investment for Eastern Region Expansion Scheme-XXIX (Rs 524.04 cr), Transmission system for Kurnool Wind Energy Zone/Solar Energy Zone (Rs. 3546.94 cr) and the disclosure is in terms of Regulation 30 of the SEBI.

Karnataka To Have India's First Marian To Boost Coastal Tourism
In order to boost coastal tourism in Karnataka, the BJP-led State Government is going to construct India's first Marina which will be constructed at Byndoor in the Udupi district. On February 26, Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai confirmed the same and said, " it is proposed to take up beach tourism in coastal areas and pilgrim tourism." The decision was taken after seeking all the necessary permission from the GoI.

Centre Decides To Release Rs 100 Coin With NTR's Photo On It
In order to honour former Andhra Pradesh CM and founder of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) N.T. Rama Rao, the Central Government decided to release a 100 Rs coin with his picture.
