UK Issues Statement Regarding Attack On Indian High Commission

The UK will review the security at the Indian High Commission here following "unacceptable" acts of violence by pro-Khalistan protesters, said Foreign Secretary James Cleverly.  Concerned about such incidents, the UK Government warned of strict action and said, they have taken these matters "very seriously" and would "robustly" respond to such incidents. They would also adapt changes needed to ensure the security of the mission's staff.

Indian High Commission In UK Demands Action Against Recent Communal Violence

Following the India - Pakistan cricket match during the T20 World Cup on August 28, communal tensions flared up in Leicester in the UK, between members of the Indian-origin Hindu community. In regard to this, on September 19, the  High Commission of India in London condemned the violence perpetrated against the Indian Community in Leicester and sought immediate action against those involved in these attacks.

Bangladeshi Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan To Travel To India Under Air Bubble

The Indian embassy in Bangladesh on November 11 stated that cricketer Shakib Al Hasan would be visiting India under the recently signed 'air bubble arrangement'. Both the countries had recently signed an agreement that would enable Bangladeshi citizens to visit India except for tourism purposes. Three Stolen Statues of Vijayanagara Period Returned to India from UK

The High Commission of India (HCI), London, with the support of London Metropolitan Police, has recovered three statues dating to Vijayanagara period. Reportedly, the statues were stolen from Vishnu Temple, Nagapattinam in 1978.
