Muthoot Finance Completes Pre-Payment Of Commercial Borrowings

Muthoot Finance announced to have completed pre-payment of external commercial borrowings, announced in a release. The official exchange issued by the finance company read, "The board on March 28 had approved the pre-payment of external commercial borrowings of $550 million."  In addition, the company also initiated steps for cancellation on Senior Secured Notes issued by the company under the Global Medium Term Note Programme.

Rupee Declines 13 Paise At 82.12 Against US Dollar

In a drawback to Indian economy, the rupee depreciated 13 paise to close at 82.12 (provisional) against the US currency. At the interbank foreign exchange, the domestic unit opened at 81.96 against the dollar, and finally ended the day at 82.12 (provisional), 13 paise lower from its previous close. During the day, the rupee witnessed a high of 81.96 and a low of 82.15 against the greenback.

ADB Cites Risk Of GDP Growth Amid Global, Domestic Factors

The Asian Development Bank cited risk regarding the growth of India's GDP, dismissing the forecast of the Indian Government of over 7% GDP growth. Notably, the ADB report mentioned due to global and domestic factors, India can witness a drawback in GDP growth. "any worsening of geopolitical tensions is likely to exert further downward pressure on global demand and increase uncertainty, tamping down India’s growth rate," read report.

Tata Motors Technologies Unit Files For IPO

Tata Technologies, a unit of Indian carmaker Tata Motors filed for an initial public offering (IPO),  confirmed Tata Motors said in an exchange filing. On March 9, the automobile company said they will not offer any of the 95.7 million shares, representing around 23.6% of its paid-up share capital, to be sold in the IPO. Furthermore,has a 74.69% stake in Tata Tech, will sell up to 81.1 million shares.

Hyundai To Release Cars In 2023-2024

Hyundai is all set to release a few models in 2023-2024, the company's Ai3 micro SUV will be based on the same platform that underpins the newly launched Grand i10 Nios and the Aura. The Micro SUV is expected to measure around 3.7-3.8 meters in length. In terms of design, the Ai3 gets design cues borrowed from Venue. It features a split headlamp setup.

Rupee Declines By 39 Paise, At All Time Low Of 82.69 Against US Dollar

In the trade market, Indian currency continued to fall and depreciate against the US Dollar, giving concerns to investors and traders. On October 10, the rupee fell by 39 paise, to an all-time low of 82.69 against the US dollar, whereas the dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, was trading 0.02% higher at 112.81.
