IMD Warns of Heavy Rains in Few States; Monsoon Withdrawal Delayed Till Oct 20
According to IMD, a depression in the Bay of Bengal could go deep by October 13, causing heavy rains to many states including Maharashtra and Karnataka till October 14. Nagpur Floods Badly Affect Farmers: "A Flood Like Never Before"
The farmers in Nagpur are badly affected due to the recent floods. In a few areas, floodwater entered the fields and damaged the crops. The locals claimed that they have never seen a "flood like this before". Rohit Sawant, a local, said that when the floodwaters entered their village, the people abandoned their homes and rushed towards safety. He further stated that the severity of the floods were higher than the stories from the past.

Indian Reservoirs' Storage Level Reached at 77% of Capacity: Barclays' Report
A recent Barclays' report has indicated that the storage level of 123 main reservoirs in India has increased to 102% of the previous year. It also stated that the storage level has touched 77% of the total capacity. Reportedly, the storage level on August 27 stood at 131.2 billion cubic meters. Besides, the report suggested the monsoon impacted agriculture positively as atleast 13 of 36 geographical areas received excessive rainfall.
