9 Indian Women's Hockey Players Appointed As IOC Employee

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) provided employment to nine Indian hockey players, on the occasion of International Women's Day. Petrol and Diesel Prices Hiked In the Country, Mumbai Top Charts

The prices for petrol and diesel price again raised in India on October 1. The India Oil Corporation hiked the petrol prices by 25 paise from Rs 101.64 litre to Rs 101.89 per litre while diesel increases by 30 paise from Rs 89.87 per litre to Rs 90.17per litre in Delhi. Reportedly, Mumbai has the highest fuel rates with 107.95 petrol price and diesel is Rs 97.84per litre.

Diesel Rate Haunts Metropolitan Cities; Petrol Prices Stable

Diesel rate has faced a sudden surge in price while petrol continues to remain steady in all four metro cities on September 26. As per Indian Oil Corporation, Delhi's petrol price is at 101.19 per liter while diesel rate increased by 25 paise from Rs 88.82 to Rs 89.07/l. Rest three metro cities rates differ due to varying VAT. Mumbai has the highest fuel rate reported by state-run oil refiners.

Fuel Price Remain Constant In Metro Cities In India

The price of petrol and diesel remained constant in the four metro cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata for the sixth day in a row on August 30. According to the state-run refiner, the prices of petrol and diesel are the highest in Mumbai. In Delhi, petrol price remained at Rs  101.49 per litre whereas in Mumbai it remained at Rs 107.52.

Oil Tanker Fire Break: Owner To Pay $1.8 Million To Sri Lankan Government

The supertanker MT New Diamond owner agreed to settle the claim of $1.8 million, with the Srilankan Government for extinguishing the fire. The confirmation came after Sri Lanka's attorney general Dappula de Livera claimed for the expenses. Earlier, the Indian Oil Corporation chartered tanker which carried two million barrels of oil caught fire on September 3, after an explosion of a boiler.

NGT Warns IOC for Generating Excess 'Oxide' than the Specified Limit

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has asked state pollution control boards to check the disposal of spent catalyst- a hazardous waste, produced by oil refineries.
