Mumbai Metro Phase-1 Will Be Operational In December End

In Mumbai, phase-1 of the metro line, Bandra Kurla Complex to densely congested MIDC Marol Naka, or Terminals 1 and 2, is said to be operational from year end, announced the concerned authority. According to sources, phase 3 of the Metro Line 3 or ‘Aqua Line’ Metro Rail Corridor that links South Mumbai’s Colaba/Cuffe Parade to BKC to Aarey Colony and SEEPZ, all set to become fully operational in December-January.

Indian Railways Reveals Earning Profit Of Rs 2,800 Crores Revising Norms

Indian Railways has earned an additional revenue of more than Rs 2,800 crore from child travellers in the last seven years by revising child travel fare norms, an RTI response has found. The response from the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) under the Right to Information (RTI) Act further indicates that the financial year of 2022-23 alone earned Rs 560 crore, amid amended norms.

A signal error led to the devastating triple train accident in Balasore, Odisha, last June, the Ministry of Railways has said, releasing the findings from the Commissioner of Railway Safety's report for the first time, detailing the causes. AP Couple Commits Suicide, Police Suspect Financial Issue To Be Reason

In Andhra Pradesh, a married couple identified as Saikumar Reddy and Hema Malini, allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of railway tracks near Kadapa district. As per an initial investigation, it was revealed that Hema and Reddy were married a year ago and Hema was eight-months pregnant and was facing financial issues.
