Reliance Retail Eyes Acquisition Of 'Subway' India

Reliance Retail (RIL), owned by Mukesh Ambani may acquire the Indian franchise of the world's largest single-brand restaurant chain, Subway. The acquisition is worth $200-$250 million. This comes in the wake of Subway's Chief Executive John Chidsey's attempts to restructure its sales strategies as it took a hit due to the pandemic. Reportedly, the RIL will gain around 600 Subway stores across India when the acquisition is on board.
