Ahead of the assembly elections in West Bengal, Abbas Siddiqui, a notable Muslim cleric proffered a new political party – the Indian Secular Front. Siddiqui, an active detractor of the ruling Trinamool Congress, claimed that his party endeavours for social justice and constitutional democracy. Abbas, who belongs to the Siddiqui family, recently met AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi, who confessed earlier to contest in state polls.
