AR Rahman made headlines in September after his Chennai concert was slammed for mismanagement. Weeks after the mishap, he found himself in the midst of yet another controversy. Association of Surgeons of India registered a complaint against Rahman alleging that he received a sum of Rs 29 lakh for a concert and never conducted one. Now, AR Rahman's counsel has responded by denying all the allegations.

Durga Jasraj, daughter of Pandit Jasraj, announced the news of his demise. He was a recipient of awards like Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. Jasraj had an 80-year career in the field of music.
