Ahead of the 2023 World Cup, the men in blue will be playing against Australia for One Day Internationals (ODIs.) The ODI-series matches will be played after Asia Cup, which is scheduled to end on September 17. These three ODI series will be played ahead of the World Cup and will be working as a warm-up for India. Furthermore, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah will return to field.

With the India V/S Australia, Gavaskar Trophy match, Ishan Kishan is all set to make his debut in Cricket. Ishan Kishan is likely to finally make his debut at the final Test at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The development came at a time, when Indian squad, under the captainship of Rohit Sharma, is gearing up for the 4th test match, against Australia. 

India witnessed a victory against Australia in the India V/S Australia Test Match, held at Nagpur. The Indian Squad defeated the Australian team by innings and 132 runs. I The high-quality performances from skipper Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja (5/47, 2/34 and 70), Axar Patel (84, 1/06) and R Ashwin led to this tremendous victory. With this India is leading 1-0 in the current edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Team India made victory against the arch-rival Pakistan in the South Asia Cup 2022, on August 28. In the match, the Rohit Sharma-led Indian squad scored 148 runs with 5 wickets in 19.4 overs. Chasing the target, team India's Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja's crucial partnership in the last few balls took the team to victory against Pakistan. The Cricket Fraternity and netizens lauded India's performance and the win.

The India lawn bowls team bagged a historic gold medal for the nation at the Commonwealth Games.  On August 2, the women's lawn bowl squad made India proud, after it secured the gold medal against South Africa, in finals. The Indian quartet of Lovely Choubey (lead), Pinki (second), Nayanmoni Saikia (third) and Rupa Rani Tirkey (slip) beat South Africa 17-10 in the women's fours final, at the CWG 2022.
