SAGY Selects Top 10 Indian Villages For Social & Cultural Development
The Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, selected top 10 Indian villages for development. Every year SAGY, an initiative to develop rural India, select villages for social and cultural growth. This year, Telangana, Odisha, Jharkhand and Kerala's villages were selected, of which seven villages are from Karimnagar and Nizamabad district of the Telugu State. Chinese Troops Enter Demchok, Protest Against Dalai Lama's Birthday Celebration
Chinese army personnel and civilians protested against the celebration of Tibetan leader Dalai Lama's birthday in Indian villages by entering Demchok in Ladakh and displaying banners and the Chinese flag. The Indian army has refused to comment on the incident. China's impatience with India's respect for Dalai Lama has always been evident and PM Modi's decision to wish the leader on his birthday may not have been well received.
