Tomato Prices Continues To Hike, Will Be 250/kg In Coming Week

Tomatoes prices and constant hike gives no relief for people, especially those in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Hyderabad. Due to heavy to very heavy rainfall in Hyderabad, the prices of tomatoes, which were already high, skyrocketed in the past few days. According to sources, from Rs 140, the prices of now termed as 'most expensive vegetable' touched Rs 200/kg and are expected to 250/kg this week.

AP Weather, IMD Alerts Rainfall For Next 5 Days

The Andhra Pradesh weather department and Indian Meteorological Department issued an alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall. As per sources, the State is set to witness rainfall due to low pressure strengthening in the region. districts including Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Palnadu, Bapatla, Prakasam, and Nellore. Light to moderate rains are expected in all other districts. The expected rain will continue till July 30.

The incident occurred on July 19, when the city received heavy rainfall. According to sources, Yogita Rumale, aged 25, accidentally slipped and fell into the rushing waters while attempting to disembark from the train with her father.

Red Category Alert Issued In Bihar Amid Rainfall

A red category warning asking authorities to be prepared for action to prevent disasters has been issued for parts of northeast India including Assam, Meghalaya, and Sikkim as well as Bihar as extremely heavy rain (over 20 cm) was likely there on Wednesday and Thursday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall was expected to continue in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh during the next two days, said the IMD.

Telangana To Witness Monsoon With Delay, Expected By June 26

After Kerala and Karntaka, the Telugu state of Telangana is also set to witness monsoon in the next 48 hours. While most of the regions would witness rainfall on June 21, the entire state will be covered in monsoon season, by June 26. Biparjoy To Land At Jakhau Port, Gujarat By Evening
