The Hindu calendar welcomes Mahalaya on October 14 which marks the completion of Pitru Paksha and the onset of Devi Paksha. The glorious nights praising the Goddess start with the Mahalaya, the no-moon day (Amavasya) falling in the lunar month of Ashwin. With the end of Mahalaya, people will embark on the festivities mood. Navratri would thus commence on October 15 and extend till Dusshera, October 24.

230 Indians To Fly Back From War Zone Israel
Around 230 people will be the first Indian nationals to fly back from Israel under ‘Operation Ajay,’ the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Thursday, adding that the Indian Air Force (IAF) could also be roped in to bring Indians back home from the war-hit country. The Operation Ajay was launched to bring back stranded Indians, mostly students from war hit Israel Palestine region.

Indians Can Travel To 57 Global Destinations Visa Free
In good news, Indians can now travel visa-free in approximately 57 countries. The latest ranking published by Henley Passport Index confirmed the position of India ranking in progress at the 80th spot. Operation Kaveri, 1st Batch Leaves Conflict Hit Sudan
The first group of Indians stranded in Sudan has left the conflict-hit nation in an Indian Navy warship for Saudi Arabia's Jeddah. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi tweeted photos of the Indians on board the INS Sumedha. Some held the national flag to thank the government for arranging for their evacuation. The evacuation is being held as Operation kaveri, launched and being held by the Union Government.
