IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Technical Glitch, 2nd Incident

An IndiGo plane from Varanasi made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport on August 22, evening due to a hydraulic issue. The source said there were more than 160 passengers onboard flight 6E-2232 en route to Delhi. Recently, this is the second airline, which has made such an emergency landing. A Mumbai-Ranchi IndiGo flight was diverted to Nagpur after a medical emergency onboard.

IndiGo Mumbai-Ranchi Made Emergency Landing As Flyer On Board Vomited Blood

In an IndiGo flight, a flyer vomited blood on board a Mumbai-Ranchi flight, after which the IndiGo flight made an emergency landing in Nagpur.  The 62-year passenger, who was suffering from chronic kidney disease and tuberculosis, died before he could be taken to a hospital. "IndiGo flight 6E 5093, operating from Mumbai to Ranchi was diverted to Nagpur due to a medical emergency on board," said IndiGo in a statement.

IndiGo Suspends Pilot After Viral Video Of Domestic Helper Abuse

After the viral video of pilot and airline staffer, abusing domestic violence, IndiGo suspended the pilot and the airline crew. On July 19, IndiGo released an official statement, " it has taken off flying duty an employee from duties and the matter is being investigated." Notably, in a viral video, the couple was being thrashed brutally and detained for abusing a minor 10-year-old domestic helper.

Customs Officials Arrest 2 IndiGo Staffers For Aiding In Gold Smuggling: Kerala

Two officials of the IndiGo airlines have been arrested by the customs department officials in Kerala’s Kozhikode International Airport (Karipur Airport) on September 15. The arrests have been made for alleged aiding in gold smuggling in the airlines. Reportedly, the accused allegedly helped in smuggling 4.9 Kg of gold worth Rs 2.5 crore. The gold was found in a passenger’s bag, who reportedly dropped it and fled.
