Earthquake Of 5.1 Magnitude Hits Indonesia's Northern Sumatra
A 5.1 magnitude quake hit Indonesia's Northern Sumatra province on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said. The temblor that rocked the region at 0407 GMT was epicentered at 0.32 degrees north latitude and 98.70 degrees east longitude, Xinhua news agency reported. Its depth was 10.0 km. Earthquake Of 5.9 Magnitude Jolts Indonesia’s Sumatra
An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude on the Richter scale jolted Indonesia’s Sumatra island during the early hours on October 1. According to the US Geological survey, the quake killed at least one person and injured dozens of others as people rushed out of buildings seeking safety. Reportedly, the quake occurred at around 2:30 am 40kms from the town of Sibolga, and had a depth of 13 kms.

Nine Shot Dead In Indonesia's Relative Papua Amid Massive Protests
The police of Indonesia reported that nine persons were shot dead in the country's easternmost region of Papua. According to the police, the attack was allegedly carried out by armed separatists, and is the worst in recent times. 10 More Survivors Found & Rescued 3 Days After Cargo Boat Sank In Indonesia
In a latest development, 10 more survivors from the cargo boat which sank on May 27, have been found and rescued, on May 30. The survivors are reportedly in "good condition", and have returned home. The boat sank in Indonesia's Makassar Strait in South Sulawesi province, with 42 people on board, due to bad weather. Of the 42, about 31 persons have been found and rescued as of now.
