Newborn Abandoned On Street; Rescued By Passerby

A newborn male infant soaked in blood was found abandoned along the roadside of East Bengaluru’s HRBR Layout, August 15. The baby was rescued by a passerby as stray dogs were about to attack it. Police on reaching the spot enquired about the baby’s parents, however, nobody saw the person that abandoned the baby. Currently, the baby is under medical supervision at Vanivilas Hospital.

Medical Negligence: Rat Nibbles 19-Day-Old Baby's Feet In Indore

A 19-day-old baby’s toe was nibbled by rats in a hospital at Indore district of Madhya Pradesh on May 18. The carelessness was reported when the mother went to feed her baby and saw the toe bleeding. Taking an action, the hospital superintendent suspended a nurse citing medical negligence and dismissed two sanitation workers. Meanwhile, the baby is safe now and a three-membered committee is probing the incident.
