Following a powerful earthquake in Japan's Greater Tokyo, 32 people have reportedly been injured, said media reports on October 8. Furthermore, reports said that three of them are in critical condition. Earlier, an earthquake magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale struck the capital city of Japan on the evening of October 7. However, Japan is very close to the Ring of fire that usually causes powerful earthquakes here.
Following the collapse of a four-story building in North Delhi's Malkaganj near Subzi Mandi, two children, reportedly brothers, succumbed to their injuries at Bada Hindu Rao hospital on September 13. One person, who was rescued from the debris, has been undergoing treatment at the hospital. Besides, a car parked near the building was badly damaged by the debris. However, around seven fire tenders were involved in the rescue operation.

According to the Civil Protection Service, the hospitals are overwhelmed as the number of injured has reached 9,915. However, many are feared missing or under the rubble. "There weren't enough doctors and now she is dead", one of the patient's family member said.

Following a heavy downpour, at least 17 people have died owning to building collapse in Mumbai’s Chembur and Vikhroli areas on July 18. Reportedly, 14 have lost their lives and 15 people have been rescued in Chembur’s Bharat Nagar area. However, the rescue operation is still under process and the injured's have been hospitalized. Moreover, a sum of 2 lakh will be provided to the deceased's family by the PM.

K Prasad, a resident of Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh and a daily wage worker killed one of his daughters as he was angry with his wife for not giving birth to a son. The couple's two-year-old daughter, K Pravani, died as he banged her head against the wall at their residence. His four-year-old daughter K Siri, endured severe injuries.
