PM Modi Commissions INS Vikrant Aircraft To Boost Indian Navy: Kerala
PM Narendra Modi commissioned INS Vikrant, India's first indigenous aircraft into the Indian Navy, on September 2. Modi Ji commissioned the aircraft at 9:30 am, at Kochin Shipyard Limited, Kochin, Kerala. The commissioned aircraft will be a boost to the maritime security of India, with advanced features. The 262-meter long aircraft is a mix of 30 crafts, can fly MiG 29k fighter, has early air warning helicopter features among others.

India's First Indigenous Aircraft Carrier 'INS Vikrant' Begins Sea Trails
India has started sea trials of its first Indigenous Aircraft Carrier (IAC) named ''INS Vikrant'' on August 4. Reportedly, INS Vikrant is 860 feet long, 230 feet wide, and weighs about 45,000 metric tons. However, it will be commissioned in August 2022 and fully operational in mid-2023. Notably, it has been designed by the Directorate of Naval Design of the Indian Navy, who said it's a ''proud and historic day''.
