Footballer Lionel Messi drops a hint of retirement with his recent statement while playing for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG.)  He said, "I got everything in my career, individually,"  He further added that there is nothing left for him to achieve. "It's at the end of my career, closing a cycle. I achieved everything with the national team I always dreamed of," said Messi in an interview.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will be one of the juries at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. French actor Vincent Lindon who will be heading the 75th edition of the coveted festival jury panel confirmed the same through Twitter, on April 26. Padukone is part of the eight-member jury that will reward one of the 21 films in competition with the Palme d'Or during the closing ceremony on May 28. 

The first case of Omicron variant of COVID-19 was confirmed in Uzbekistan, following which pandemic restrictions are tightened in the country, Health Ministry said on January 9. They said that the case was confirmed after a foreign citizen arrived Uzbekistan on January 7, turned infected with the variant. The country has so far registered 200,341 COVID cases and 1,494 related deaths.
