Owners of top IPL franchises are trying to convince as many as six premier England players to quit international cricket. The owners of the IPL teams asked the players to take up handsome annual contracts ranging up to 5 million pounds in order to play T20 leagues round the year. The report, however, doesn't state which franchise have approached and who are the players involved in the discussion.

Fast bowler Kemar Roach, Batsman Nkrumah Bonner, and opening batsman Brandon King have been recalled to the senior men's squad for the three-match ODI series against India, as per an announcement by Cricket West Indies (CWI). The team will be visiting India from February 6 to 20, where they will play three T20Is. Notably, the ODIs will be played in Ahmedabad and T20Is will be played in Kolkata. 

Sri Lanka's cricketer Bhanuka Rajapaksa took retirement from international cricket and submitted his resignation to Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), on January 5. Rajapaksa said that he arrived at the decision after a discussion with his family. ''I have very carefully considered my position as a player, husband and am taking this decision looking forward to fatherhood and associate family obligations,'' said the cricketer in a statement.

Former Captain of New Zealand Ross Taylor has announced his retirement from international cricket. He would retire after the end of upcoming series against Bangladesh, Australia and the Netherlands in 2022. Taylor had made his debut back in 2006 and managed to score 18,074 runs in 445 matches in his career, the most by anyone from his country. Taylor said it’s been an honour to have represented New Zealand.

Indian pacer Vinay Kumar on February 26 announced his retirement from international and first-class cricket. Dubbed as the "Davangere Express", the 37-year-old released a statement on Twitter saying he "has finally arrived at a station called retirement".
