Govt Issues Revised Guidelines For International Travelers With Relaxations

Coming as a relief to international passengers traveling to India, the Government allowed 14 days self monitoring. Previously, travelers needed to undergo a seven-day mandatory quarantine which has now been changed. In addition, they also have a choice to upload full vaccination certificate, from selected 82 countries along with RT-PCR negative reports (taken 72 hours prior). Delhi Reports 53 New Cases Without Travel History, Tally At 124: Delhi Govt

Delhi Government confirmed 53 new Omicron, the new variant of COVID-19 cases, on December 27. Notably, new cases reported does not have any international travel history or direct contact with Omicron cases, alarming a community transmission. "We need to be sure, we will come to know in a day," said Government official, regarding the cases. Meanwhile, with new cases, Omicron tally in the national capital reached to 142, till date.
