Tamil Nadu Govt To Provide High Speed Internet To All 12,535 Village Panchayats At 1 Gbps Bandwidth
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin initiated works to provide high speed internet connectivity to all the 12,535 village panchayats in the state. On June 9, he inaugurated the laying of optical fibre cables. Reportedly, the project is worth Rs 1,627.8 crore, and will be implemented by Tamil Nadu Fibrenet Corporation (TANFINET). The project aims at providing 1 Gbps bandwidth connectivity to the village panchayats.

Cashew Shaped Eggs Laid By Karnataka Hen Goes Viral, Stuns Internet
In Karnataka's Laila village, a hen led some 10 cashew-shaped eggs. The bizarre incident left villagers stunned, and also went viral on social media platforms. When asked about the reason, the owner of the hen Prashanth said, “After three continuous days of abnormally shaped eggs, we took the hen to the vet. Apparently, there is some issue either with her shell gland or there are worms in her reproductive organs".

New Study Finds Taking Break From Social Media Improves Mental Health
A new study has found that taking a break from social media helps improve one's mental health. The findings of the study have been published in 'Cyberpsychology Behaviour and Social Networking.' Around 154 social media users were put into an intervention and a control group at random, as a part of the research. "Many of our participants reported positive effects from being off social media," concludes Dr Jeff Lambert.

Section 144 Imposed In Rajasthan's Karauli Amid Communal Violence
Authorities imposed a curfew and the internet was also shut down in Rajasthan’s Karauli, on April 2. In addition, restrictions have been imposed due to communal clashes in the area. About two dozen people were injured in the violence while 30 people were detained, informed Additional Director General of Police. Notably, CM Ashok Gehlot appealed to contribute and play a constructive role in building peace and development in the state.
